LOML wanted a hall tree (thanks a lot HGTV!). She wanted me to make the bench with shoe storage and attach to old antique doors. We found this antique headboard on FB marketplace for 40 bucks. Made the bench out of two old red oak slabs I had laying around. Only parts not milled from slabs are the 1/2” oak panels made from oak plywood. Frame is all mortise and tenon joints. Base of bench and top fastened with figure eights.
