Where can I find some really good butcher blocks? My shop does not have the time, does anyone here have the time or the expertise for a million dollar house butcher block? I am looking for like an end grain cherry or walnut butcher block about 2" - 2.5" thick with a bold roman ogee edge, tung oil finished. The size is 90" x 48" plus a little overhang and the 4 corners bumped out. I have seen a few different prices from $1,500.00 to $3,320.00. I can out granite on it for around $1,300.00 but the look is supposed to be rustic. Anyone up for it or know a good place ?

William, I think I can picture that in my mind, but only roughly. Do you have a drawing?

Hope this works :) crude drawing but gives you the gist. I am not looking for the 6-8" thick butcher block, more of a countertop butcher block. Not the checker board look but long end grain look.

I was refered to a company that I was told is over north of Winston Salem by the name of Signature Woodworking. Has anyone heard of them?
