I bet many know this but it had not occurred to me. 8 inch wheels fit in gallon zip-locks just fine so they stay clean and not cross contaminated in storage. Just got in a big batch so I can label them from black emery all the way up and even the clean ones for buffing hard wax. Label with a sharpie on the side of the wheel.
