Another What Is It Question

I've never been able to positively ID wood just by looking at it.

I was given some rounds yesterday. I was told white oak and cherry.

First up is the "oak".

Next up the cherry

Correct? Something else?

The first one looks more like Cherry. Don’t know about the scuffed up one. The last one looks like Walnut.

The last one is a piece of the scuffed up one after I sliced it off and ran it through the planer. The one picture shows the fibers where a piece split off.

There was no bark left on these when I got them

Ok, makes sense now. Sticking with Cherry & Walnut.
