Thompson's water seal

They make this stuff for an outdoor finish. The original stuff is just paraffin dissolved in a solvent carrier. When I lived on the coast, everything would rust. I kept a spray bottle with Thompson's in it handy. Anytime I used anything steel, I would spray it before putting it away. Shovels...

teflon marking gauge

I had a piece of teflon sheet left over frrom another project. It has adhesive on one side, and I ordered the sheets from McMasterCarr. I use a Veritas marking and mortise gauge, but I always have issues with the brass "sticking" (not sliding smoothly) on the wood. It is probably my poor...
