You've probably seen it ... turning Tagua Nuts that look like white ivory inside. They aren't very big, but pretty neat little trinkets you can make with them. Conversation pieces, I suppose.:gar-La;

I've seen them for sale in a couple magazines and on ebay ... but not sure if the price is good or not. Anybody know any good place to buy these for cheap?

Not sure about prices, Jeremy, but I've seen them at Klingspor's in Raleigh. Maybe the Charlotte store has them too???

Jeremy, I don't think you'll find any great prices, unless you buy a ton. Most places are around $6/7 per lb., Woodcraft, Rockler, Craft Supply etc. A pound can be 8/12 nuts, pending on size.

Just finished this one last weekend.

Thanks for those braggin' rights photos, Phil! I want to try my hand at that, I think.

Is the $6/7 per lb fair? Hard to judge.

I can't say for sure, but that price seems extremely fair to me.
I swear I remember seeing these things go for $3-5 EACH.
If you can get them for $7 (or even $10) per lb, I'd say jump on it.

Thanks Gents !

Jeremy, I've seen them for $3 bucks each too, Craft Supply has the large size for $9, depending on shipping, that's about $1 each.
I'd rather go to a store and select them myself, but I haven't been disappointed with a few orders from C.S.
