I have had the Tormek for about 10 months now. It has kept the tools sharper than I could have done freehand on water stones. I think it has to do with the consistency. I would not trade it......

OK - I lied - one more...

I just noticed that Woodcraft is selling the JoolTool accessories at true closeout prices, as in $7 instead of $30 and one of the items is that spindle. So for under $25, I could get the spindle and a couple of discs, but I have pretty much talked myself out of it. Besides, this makes me worry about the future of the tool anyway...
