Bas, given the increasing complexity of things and the need for some fairly large openings you might consider directional sound isolation vs. whole isolation. I will assume that you can tolerate some noise in the shop but with some extra insulation and isolating the mounting of your equipment (rubber grommets, motor mounts, etc) you should get the noise level in the house below the "annoying" threshold.
