I'm not far from there and have considered reaching out over that ad, but I do have some concerns over the longevity of the motor. It seems like a nice unit, but nothing on it is really user serviceable, and everything I read gives nova/tekna pretty poor marks for support outside of warranty in terms of parts even being available.

Still, it might be worth the attempt. It's a well reviewed lathe, but "8 years old" and "well loved" does give me a bit of pause that I probably wouldn't have for a more conventional belt driven and vfd powered lathe.

I mentioned that lathe when it was first posted, but it's been on there for two months and hasn't sold. I ended up deleting the post when it didn't sell after 6 weeks.
