Anybody know where I can get 1/4" to 3/8" x 3" x 8' polypropylene or other strong plastic maybe Nylon? I need 2 pieces to line the runners.

Thanks again to everyone in the chain!
I met Mike's wife Pam and girls late this afternoon in Huntersville and received the slab of Sycamore (awesome Jeff! Beautiful wood comes from the ugliest trees:lol: ), a bag of pen blanks and the official NCWW Friendship pen. After dinner we stopped by Chris Mathes' (WSD1089) house and passed on the bag o'blanks and the official NCWW Friendship pen. Can't wait to make some boxes and humidors out of the wood.

Sorry no pics. It's dark and the only camera we had was in our phone. I'll post some wood porn in the morning and Chris and I can re-enact and document the passing of the pen if it's essential to maintain the good juju.

Mark, Give me a shout when you get ready to work that slab. I've worked a lot of that wood and can give you some drying tips. smaller pieces are supper easy to dry in the microwave.
