Another protein glue you should consider is Fish Glue. Norland is the manufacturer. It has a pleasant wintergreen scent BTW...remember paste glue from kindergarten? That was made from dilute fish glue. In a concentrated liquid form, it is a powerful glue that doesn't need heating and has a long setup time at room temp to give you plenty of time to arrange workpieces. It forms a glass-like glue joint that doesn't creep and is easily reversible with steam/hot water. If you need an adhesive that holds up to high temps, Fish glue holds up to 555f dry heat.
