I noticed a chipped tooth on one of my Freud LU84R011 combo blades while performing routine cleaning. The other teeth were fine, just one bad tooth. I emailed pics to Charles M. He asked me to send the blade back for warranty consideration.
Today, the brown truck pulled in the driveway and...
Does anyone have any opinions on the Freud Glue Line Rip blade? I'm going to be working with some Hard Maple here soon and want to know if it's as good as they say. Almost no jointing needed to glue boards together? Hmmmm.
:nah:
I just saw that Amazon once again is offering 25% off of Freud bits and accessories!
Which dado set do you recommend? At 1/4 off, seems like a great time to buy one.

I recently was able to buy a Forrest WW 30 tooth ripping blade and a 30 tooth Freud blade. I ran 12 feet of Mahogany on both. The Mahogany was 2x8 and I ripped it all down to 1.75 wide. I then Ran some Hard Maple and it was about the same as the Mahogany as far as width and thickness. I couldn't...
I was just at the Lowes on Hwy42 near the I40 intersection in Clayton.
They have the display model of the Freud router table, with fence and plate on clearence.
It was 199.00
It is now 99.00
It is a great deal for somebody that needs a table.
Having used a Forrest WWII for a few years I decided to take advantage of Peachtree's 25% off sale and grab a Freud Fusion. The Fusion is a 30 degree Hi- ATB 40 tooth blade.
I initially had burning when ripping Maple but discovered the rip fence was kicked in a couple of thousandths at the end...
Picked up one of those routers on-sale at Woodcraft but they don't carry the template adapter (FT1100 Template Guide Adapter Plate). Anyone carry these in Raleigh area? Charles M.?

I just bought a Freud Blade Stabilizer for my 10" Delta Contractor saw. When I opened the package, I found 2 stabilizers. Does one go on each side of the blade or are there 1 stabilizer for 2 applications?
I thought that they only went on the outside of the blade, but must be wrong.
Thanks...
I bought two of these during a recent Amazon deal. I had two already and jumped at two more for a great price.
I have noticed that these blades didn't give me a whole lotta cut before they started dulling. No burning or anything just more resistance. I got a fair amount of use out of the...
Anyone use this router? I am looking at a used one with the fixed and plunge base for $125. Looks to be in very good shape, 2 1/4 HP and depth adjustable from the bottom. The reviews on Amazon are mixed (and sometimes I don't trust them any way . . . . ). Let me know if you have experience...
I've got a 16-560 from Woodcraft that I've only cut about 3" of hinge mortise before I saw a problem. Didn't know when I bought it that it was special purpose for PC jig. Paid about $30.00, will take $15.00 plus any postage. See quote:
Hi Joe,
Thanks for contacting me on this. The 16-560 is...
Up until now I have been depending upon straight bits and my router to plow out dado's, half-laps. rabbet's etc.. Now that I have a saw with a little more power I am contemplating the purchase of a dado set. The Freud SD508 sounds like a pretty good set but, the price-point is a little high for...
I just bought a freud dado and it tears out (red oak) with every pass I take. The only way I can keep it from tearing out is using a backer board on the piece that I want to dado. Am I doing something wrong? I want to make a few fingerjoints and using a backer board with my jig would be a...
Ok,
So I got the new dado set set up and ran a test piece through.
Wouldn't you know it....the dad blamed thing cut perfectly. Sides
perpendicular to nice flat bottom which was parallel to board face.
No fuzzies or anything. Man, this was what I been looking for. I'm
in dado, grove, rabbit...
