I’ve had a Sorby ProEdge sharpening rig in my shop for around 5 years and I love it.
Any other ProEdge users out there? Wanna share experience, tips, hacks, complaints, etc?
AS a consequence of owning the ProEdge I have a RIKON lo-speed set up that's basically a dust collector, taking up space.
I use it, mainly, to sharpen turning tools, and I love the flat grind you get with these kinds of machines. It also doubles as a small parts belt sander. It's also great for my wood chisels and plane irons. I used it a little while ago to put a fresh edge on a 1" arch punch I use quite a bit.
