My table mounted router started losing power as I was running some door stock.....then I noticed the power would come and go with router running by itself....any ideas would help....

You're going to want this problem to be the brushes.
Otherwise you may be looking for a speed control module....

If the router has some mileage on it, the brushes should be replaced as periodic maintenance anyway.

If your router is a PC, then most likely the CHEAP speed control is shot. But a replacement isn't cheap!

As Joe said, brushes are a possibility but also consider that a table mounted router tends to collect gunk in the internals. Perhaps a healthy dose of compressed air might be a good start. :wsmile:

+1 on the compressed air cleaning as the first step. I routinely have to blow out the speed control and switch areas of my Bosch router whenever I use it under the table.
