Roof Panels

I'm just getting into building bird feeders. I see most of the ones at Lowes has a panel that looks like lapped planks. This is a milled t&g piece approx 4" wide. Does any one know of a source for something like this?

If you'd drop by some construction sites, you could probably pick up plenty of Hardi Plank shorts in several styles. They make good weatherproof panels. Just a thought. :dontknow:

If anybody wants to make rustic bird feeders or bird houses, I have a lot of old rusty tin.

the big boxes up this way carries tounge and groove cedar that may be what your after.

Try Hobby Town, Hobby Lobby, or a model railroad shop. Several companies make plastic and wood with that pattern and others and they usually "scale" better to a bird house than conventional human sized stuff.
