Every once in a while, you are there to share one of those life's first with those you care most about. Today, it was the first time we had taken our grandson fishing and he caught

His First Fish

He ended up catching 2 but this was his first one. Mawmaw took the rod and lifted the fish out of the water, but Wesley did everything else. We would cast it out, then hand the rod to him. As soon as he took the rod he would exclaim "Me got a bite" and start reeling it in. This time he stopped reeling for a moment and the bobber went under water. He was one happy fellow.

That is awesome; I miss the days of fishing with my dad (growing up, getting married and moving 90 miles from home has its downsides). Definitely family camping and fishing trips are my fondest memories of being a kid.
