Hi folks, an intro about me for the record.
I've been interested in woodworking for many years (did timber framing one high school summer), but it has been only in the last few that I decided to jump in with both feet and set up a shop as a solution to furnishing the house. The same time I discovered this site and have been amazed at how many fellow woodworkers live within the area. It has been a fabulous help, both the words written here but also the people I've met, shops I've seen, and stuff we've been able to buy, sell, and trade.
I am finally ready to begin making pieces in earnest now, including finishing the end tables I started a year ago. I enjoy design, and love the natural quality of wood and its expressive versatility. My personality leans to detail and precision, my favorite areas in woodworking are fine furniture, puzzles, wooden clockworks, models, and musical instruments. Not that I've much to show yet, but hope to.
