I never made any dovetails so I thought I would give it a try today:-(
I believe in using what you have.
got a couple of peices of cut off's, put a dovetail bit in the router table
set the height for the wood, took a cut off made a cut on each end and one in the center.
marked the second peice for the pins, then cut them on the band saw.
about 15 mins.
ok dont laugh its just the frist try:-?

Laugh?? You've got to be kidding! That is a nice job. If I can only manage to get my hancut DT's to look that neat. Now, they look they were cut with a mattock :BangHead:
