My son has one that style (that I did not install).
Installed at the 'correct' height, it can be a real head banger (for anyone taller than his wife).

There wasn't much leeway, i think there was about 6" leeway after overlapping the struts. Instructions were not the greatest either. Live & learn!

I set it at 30" above cooktop surface. I'd have to have a stool before i use that worry!
