checks & voids

I'm making several end grain cutting boards for Christmas gifts. One of the boards has some small checks and insect holes in it. I filled them w/5-minute epoxy, but now I'm wondering if it will be "food safe". Anyone have any advice?

Once fully cured it will be. Plus I doubt you will be eating much of the cutting board at one sitting.
