Carver needed-Pistol Grips

Anyone in the Raleigh area do carving of pistol grips? I have a friend looking for someone to carve initials in walnut grips.

I've done a set for a pistol before. I didn't really use many carving tools. I ended up mostly using chisels and sand paper to make them. I learned alot and am going to do a second set at some point in the next little while. They turned out pretty good. The next set will be on good wood instead of scrap. If your not in a hurry try it out for yourself it will be much cooler that way. If I was closer to you, you could swing by and we could work on them. The nice thing about doing it yourself is that you will get exactly what you want.

I'm betting however that there is someone out in the RTP area that can help.
