(Since I 'carve' with a Carvewright, I post the work in General Woodworking, I don't believe it belongs in Woodcarving with the work done by real carvers.) :no:

Eastern Red Cedar, 4 coats of 2lb. cut shellac and 2 or 3 coats of rattle can lacquer.

Ken, I believe that some of the talent that a carver has is to see what is in that piece of wood no matter what you use to bring it out - I believe that this piece belongs in the carving forum - Great job :icon_thum

Looks like you're keeping that machine busy!

I could see it being tons of fun to play with.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I know I promised a review way back last year, Jeremy.
I'm hopefully near getting all the tools and junk moved from the old shop. I'll try to get something posted in a week or so about the Carvewright.
Like Alan, my git up and go is getting worn out the last few months. ;-(
