Basket pattern cutting board

has anyone seen the pattern I am talking about or if you have a picture of it could you post it?

I think the pattern was originally in Wood. A friend gave me one for Christmas last year, along with a reprint of the article. I will have to dig up the article. This board uses strips of maple, walnut, and cherry to make a basket weave pattern. Sorry I can't do a picture here, but I can mail you one. PM me an address. Bruce

Here is one that I did awhile ago.



It was called an end-grain cutting board made from cherry, walnut and maple and was published in Issue 172 - October 2006 Wood magazine.

Wasn't sure if this is what you were referring to or not. (Sorry for the poor pic.:embaresse)

I think if I made that cutting board, I would want to make it with 8/4 stock and use end grain. But wow, it's a work of art.
