A few more for the books….

I completed a few things last month that I thought I’d share.

Oak bowl with Chameleon Flake. Idea from “The Tiny Turner” Emma Cook. Finished with Odies Oil.

Bird house - Oak and Walnut. I textured the Walnut and “weathered” the Oak to give it an Acorn look. Finished with Odies Oil.

Bourbon Barrel Stave Clock - Oak - sealed the staves with shellac and then a light coat of lacquer to seal the carbon. The rim is a segmented ring of Oak the I gave it a profile of a barrel lid and weathered it. I painted the hands bronze. Finished with Odies Oil.

I missed that episode of TT, but heard last night that it was a lot of work-but still want to attempt.

I did end up taking your suggestion and adding the colored bowl to the contest but just realized that this contest was specifically for spindle turning, which my piece was not.

I’m going to pull it from the contest and re-enter it when it’s for the bowls.
