I picked up a copy of "Woodturning Design" Winter 2007 for my dad for christmas.

On Page 34 "Pen Photography - Part 1".

Tons of great tips and simple ideas. I liked it because it shows before and after pics.

I could relate as I have taken tons of "before" quality pics!

Oh, also a nice article on our own John C Campbell Folk School.

Enjoy,
Jim

Jim, where did you find that mag? I've never heard of it before. I could use all the help I can get with shooting decent pen pics.
Dave:)

Order from Woodturningz and they will send a free issue.
I stopped subscribing because most of what they considered"cutting edge" in regards to penturning I had done the first year I started tuening pens.(Less than 3 years)
Also It used to hit the newstands before they mailed me my copy.
It is geared more for "real turners" you know the ones who have graduated to bowls.I am still in penmaking 101.:crybaby2:

pleasantly humble of you, Eagle. I believe comments had been made that would be teaching penmaking 601 this coming year???

the guide dog is blind?????8-O

:rolf:
NAH
But the bird who owns him is shooting from the hip and as blind as a bat.
Makes makes anyone think I know what I am doin?
It is my ignorance that makes the odd ball pens, no one in his right mind would try the stuff I try.
If I told any one my ideas they would say you can't do that and I wouldn't try.

That is the same thing Sam Maloof says about his chairs, and the way he uses the bandsaw while making them :)
