I have started carving the hair and roughing out the horns. At this point I just want to get a feel for the horns so that I can begin to "see" the rest of the ram.
The hair is carved in a rough manner with the humps and dips placed and then everything is worked and reworked until it looks...
Started this at the Klingspor event and really liked the possibilities so have continued to work on it some more. The material is 8/4 basswood. The ram is carved to a depth of 1". The panel is approx. 20" x 12". I can't wait to start on carving the fur...now that is going to be interesting...
