SSP: Rename Announcements.....

Started wondering why I hear from what I'd say is "too many people" that don't know about upcoming events. Got me to thinking (yeah, again), maybe "Announcements" isn't the optimal name for that box at the top of our page. So, any thoughts? Maybe "Events, Gatherings, Goings On" Also...

Sticky announcements

I have a sticky announcement about my workshops for 2008, could you please delete that? Also, I have posted a new announcement about my workshops for 2009, would it be possible to make that a sticky announcement?

[Problem-Main Site] [Problem-Main Site] "New Posts" omits Member Announcements

For some reason, "New Posts" omits Member Announcements. I've been watching the "RTP Lunch" thread (http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/f23/rtp-lunch-17606/ ) and, while it showed up on the front page list of Recent Threads, the "New Posts" link does not list it. I've experienced several other...

Postion announcements

Tomorrow, I am going to make the position announcements for the different admins and mention that we need more moderators. I think if any moderators want take one of the admin positions, they should get first shot so long as they really know what they are getting into.
