This is the contertop for a hutch I am making for the LOML. It is Sweet Gum 'Fran Wood' 18"x73"x2 1/4". I had the logs for the top and the cabinet (works in progress) sawn using a Woodmizer diesel powered band mill pulled to the front of my house. THAT excited the 'burbs!
Knot holes were filled with slow set epoxy resin. Finish is three coats of orange shellac, and two coats of poly. In this photo it is stored in the top of my shop for safe keeping. I'd hate to ruin it by accident. My wife wants it in the house ASAP to use until the hutch is finished.
