I turned this the other day to try out some cedar I had cut a couple months ago. Overall, it came out pretty decent. I like the way the lid is a nice snug fit. I makes a satisfying popping noise when opened.
The light colored sliver in the lid is a bit of sapwood that somehow ended up in the heartwood. It's 6.75" tall with the lid on and is a little over 2" in diameter.
