Zero Clearance for the Miter saw with old wood

I have a Miter saw and decided the stock insert wasn't for me. So, I made an insert and a fence board for it. The fence board is Teak. This was the door threshold of my front door (53 yrs old) before replacing it. When I was demo'ing it out I thought, "wow that's teak, I am going to keep that"
Anyway, I cleaned up and it is now on my saw. The saw insert is African Teak. Nice to reuse it in a place where I can see the beauty of this wood every time I use the saw.
Just love reusing things instead of tossing them out.

Thought I'd share.

Thanks Bob, Bruce. One thing that is interesting, is the door jamb was eaten by termites, but the Teak... looks like they tried to eat it only a couple of holes, but the wood is too oily or waxy for them.
I would have used it in something else, but just the one board and an odd thickness, so this looked like a good place for it.
