Amazon is having a sale on Yost clamps which include parallel clamps. I don't have any experience with them but if someone knows their quality, they could be a pretty good deal.

The 7" weighs 22 pounds. Reviews on the Amazon site say it is a bear to mount but purchasers seem very delighted with performance, especially the quick action release. 9" and 10" versions are available from Amazon but not on sale.
