After owning the infamous HF DC for about two years, I finally have upgraded the bags to a Wynn filter....

While setting it up this AM, I noticed that the overall diameter of the filter is about 2" shy of the diameter of the green sleeve on top of the stop DC.

If there is anyone out there that has one could tell me if this is the correct fit/install, I would appreciate it! There is a rubber gasket around the bottom of the filter where it sits in the green HF cone and seems to seal it pretty well. :wconfused: I used all three turnbuckles to secure it to the base of the green cylindrical cone.

Again. If anyone has any experience with this install and confirm that "I done good", I sure would appreciate it!

TIA,

Wayne

(Oh ya. It was yet another CL find where the guy has had it for 2 years and never installed it!:icon_thum)

Wayne,
That's the proper way of installation, check the picture on the Wynn website (enlarge it), and it looks just like yours. I've definitely got to get one.

Good luck,
Jimmy:)

Mine is the same as well. The turnbuckles pull it down to seal the gasket on the bottom.

Now make sure you go to church to make up for all the cussing about putting that bottom bag on. Last time I emptied mine and put it back on I about rolled the whole contraption to the curb and kicked it over.

No kidding! Putting the bag on is easy....but only if you have three hands!
I now either use masking tape to hold up the bag while I wrestle the metal buckle in place, or use magnets. Of course, I haven't had to change the bag since I built my trash can separator :)

Had exactly the same issue......

I pulled out three spring clamps and walked around the outside clamping it to the rim and then stretched the bag over the lip and fastened the strap. Seemed to work ok. (Only after I tried w/o them clamps and said a few choice words to coax it along!!!:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:)

The clamp to the rim seemed to be the ticket though!

Thanks again, NCWW Team!!!!

That is not your imagination. When you first used the DC, it used to suck a lot better, until the bags got "seasoned" (which is just a fancy shmancy word for "dirty"). Those "seasoned" bags capture more dust, but also impede air movement. The Wynn Filter has an enormous filter area, which really improves throughput.

Well now, so I ain't the only one cussin' them bag changes!! Every time I try to change one on this Delta, it's the same old thing.
Wonder if a bungee cord would hold that darn thing on!

Bas is right, a minimum of 3 hands, and 4 would be even better!

I have good results using Velcro strips mounted on the ring and on the bag to hod it in place while putting the band on. But, I'm using a felt bag, not a plastic one.

That's worth a shot. I'll let you know how it works out. Anything would be a help at this point.

I thought my golf game had some real verbal throughput... that is nothing compared to that bag... there are quite a few shoe prints on the Delta :)

Bas is right on the whole 3 hands... :rotflm:
