WW Show Delivery...pre-GLOAT!!

I got a call this morning from a delivery truck driver...seems he had a lift gate delivery for my shop...claimed it weighed well over 500 lbs!

I met him at the house and after partial dismantling of the crate via sawzall I determined the shop door (7 foot) was still too short. We wrestled the machine into the shop.

I gotta tell you that MM 16 looks sweet in my shop. I managed to get it pretty clean and waxed the cast iron, wired a plug and ran without a blade.

The machine was to come with a free 1/4, 1/2 and 1 inch blade but they were missing!! :cry: I sent Minimax an email and wil contact Yellow Freight tomorrow. Hopefully Minimax will make it right. I hate to think someone would have stolen the blades. Man, I hate a thief more than anything!!! I hope they were left off the shipment.

I took pics but left the camera in the shop and am too tired to retrieve and post tonight. I know, I know...no pics, didn't happen. Will post pics tomorrow.

I gotta tell you my first impression was very good. That's one solid machine! I don't know how it will run with a band on but you can hardly tell it's going with the blade off. Very quiet and smoooooothhhh!! :-D

Well.. if we don't have to have pictures. I got a new TS, Jointer, Bandsaw, molding machine, couple routers... Awwww shucks, who am I kidding?

Let me tell you, this saw is really, really nice. I promise it is! A few comments. The blade guide post assembly is rock solid. The wheels are heavy and appear to be well balanced...no vibration. The saw is very quiet. Everything about the saw (well, almost) makes sense and is easy to adjust, then, once adjusted stays put. The guides are really nice. Setup is quick.

After I got home late, I managed to track a 1 inch Twolf blade, adjusted the lower wheel tracking so it's perfect. Adjusted the rip fence to drift. The drift is near zero but the fence was not set at 90 to the table.

Ran a piece of cherry scrap through, cut about .05 inch thick. Made second pass at .03 inch. Pieces are slightly wedged because I haven't adjusted table 90 degree stop. I just had to make dust.

I have attached a few pics. The last one says it all...third time's the charm!!!
