I can't wait to see what you make from that wood and to see how the board we milled out of the Oak log turn out.

The oak is in the oven, since I got home around 1ish. I fit 3 boards in and they are dry on the outside now. Its set to 200 degrees, and it holds temp with the door cracked about 4 inches. Its even heating my house, i got +2 degrees on my thermostat! :D cant wait to see my electric bill heh.

If the outside is dry already, sounds like a recipe for casehardening. but then I didn't follow that link earlier about home/mini kilns...

Well, ill leave it in overnight and see what happens in the morning. As for the board feet, we probably got 3 or 4 from it wouldnt you say dave?

Possibly 2-3 BF, but you can't count your BF until the wood has dried, it will be smaller. Dry it as slow as possible.

Ok I cut the oven off, tommorow when I get home from work Ill cut it back on, give it a little rest inbetween drying.
