Wolverine sharpening tip

Borrowed from penturners.org, posted by randyrls. I thought it a good tip and decided to cross post it here.

Anyone who has a Wolverine Jig can make it much more useful by attaching a self stick tape measure to the left side of the extender bar Then when you sharpen your turning tool, mark the ruler measurement on the shaft of the tool with a sharpy. You can now instantly reset the bar to the exact same measurement. If the measurement changes, wipe off the sharpy with DNA.

That is a good tip. I have taken a scratch awl and marked the v-arm for the two places it's set for each of my bowl gouges. I don't expect those to ever change as I use a set-up block to set the gouge projection in the vari-grind jig. But you never know :dontknow: the erase-ability concept is smart :icon_thum:icon_thum
