I started this table a few days ago. Don't ask what the species of wood is. Your guess is as good as mine. It is very dense, very dusty, and brittle. Cut one leg too short so I decided to go with three instead of four.:dontknow:

Looks GREAT! Every time you post a pic and it has your shop in it I keep thinking your shop makes my house look bad :-D

Very nice Dino! The grain on the wood is very interesting. Makes the eye follow it.

Then, I start looking at your shop..... You have your slider next to the wall. How much rip capacity do you have? Say you have an 8 ft board, but you only need a 2 ft piece, do you use your short cross cut fence to cut it with?

Thanks for the kind words. The table is not my design, but I thought it was pretty neat. Travis; since my table saw has the overhead blade guard/ dust collector, I am automatically limited to 48" rip capacity.

I have no problem cross cutting a short piece off of an eight foot board using the short cross cut fence an side support. I can cut up to 34" without the rip fence getting in the way.
