Does anybody have a truck and trailer to haul 1000 BF of green lumber? I need to get some lumber brought to my place from Berea up near Jeff's place.

I can pay or work out a trade if that suits you better.

Length is 8 feet.

You'd have to ask Jeff the rest.

Maybe he'll see this.

I think it's going to be a couple weeks before he has it cut.

My youngest daughter is getting her first horse tomorrow. She needs a practice ring. I figure cedar or locust posts and poplar boards should do it.

Sorry, not very interesting.

Sorry I'm not around or I would offer to help. I will be back in mid-August and don't have much going on except a couple timber runs...if you still need the help.

Rod,

What do you think about cutting up a couple poplars at my place?

If you would cut the wood here we can eliminate the transportation cost, let the Raleigh folks buy the wood from Jeff and you could have some to sell over here to Charlotte/Winston/Greensboro folks who usually miss out on the Raleigh deals. I have a few 30+ inch trees. Lots of smaller ones.

What do you think?

September would be cooler to deal with anyway. :rotflm:

Sounds great to me Mike. I could bring the saws up that way for a day or two...and maybe a tractor.

On another note, I just picked up what I think is American Elm...mostly burl. There are 2 pieces at 8-10ft long that I think we could get some nice turning blanks out of. I will take some pics when I get back.
Take care,
Rod
