I worked out a finish strategy. Here are two of the samples I made. The one on the left is regular super blonde shellac. The one on the right has a couple drops of purple trans tint added to the shellac. This pushes the color away from yellow enough for the boss to approve.

And tonight I started putting the finish on the actual frames. Here we are with the first couple coats of un-tinted shellac. I'll give it a light sanding tomorrow and start with the tinted shellac.

Thanks! I finished the long boring finishing process. Next up is attaching the hanging hardware.

Attached the hanging hardware and mounted the mirror in the first frame. It uses Z-bar attached to the wall, and aluminum flat bar attached to the frame. I added some felt at each end of the aluminum bars on the frame to avoid marking the wall too much.

One down; hope to finish the second one tomorrow.
