Steve, all,
When should a site related post or FAQ be edited? I am not talking about posts submitted by members in general, but posts that have been developed and posted by the staff to assist members with the use of this site, such as FAQs.
If we come across a FAQ for instance that needs to be modified due to changes and updates to the site should we just go ahead and edit the post or should we check with the author of the post first?
I guess an example of this would be what I pointed out last night about the location of the spell check button has changed during software upgrade. I could easily have updated the FAQ when I found it but I didn't want to over step my bounds. If we do edit something do we want/need to notify others that we made the correction?
Inquiring minds want to know!
