Well I finally decided on a set of bits from MLCS (thanks again Bas :icon_thum).
They arrived yesterday. :wwink:

I have figured out what you use all the bits for except one. :eusa_thin

It makes a 'V' groove. Some people use it for lettering, with or without a letter template.

I thought the second one from the right bottom row was a v-groove bit. Is this just a deeper one?

I can't tell from the picture, but if it has cutter blades on the side it is used for plunging through thin stock and then used to cut a shaped hole in the panel.

It is a pilot panel bit. Used in carpentry. Doing things like window cut outs. Instead of precutting the osb to fit around the window, they just cover it up then plunge in with the bit and follow around the rough openig. That solid bearing surface between the point and the cutter will follow the window opening but burn the heck out of it. Doesn't matter since it is covered up anyway.

Its what Tom said. You can also use it to trim up vinyl/metal siding and sheet rock around window/door casings, to cut holes for pipes/conduit, or cut out for an electrical box.. When I built my shed in Fl, I just put the metal siding over the window holes and used a bit like that to punch through and cut it out. Sure beat using tin snips to try and cut it to fit.
