:oops:As I said in my introduction, I am liquidating a shop that belonged to a very close person to me who has passed. A couple of woodworker friends are helping me identify items but this has us stumped. Anyone know what this is???

Looks like a hold down attachment as a component which belongs to a machine.

It is the support arm and post for an motorized auto feeder.
I have one buried with the variable motor that goes 20-99 rpm
It usually has an articulating knuckle on the end that the motor is attached. Mine has3-4 wheels can't remember

The handle marked "Kipp" is a standard item unto itself. Many machinery makers use Kipp brand adjustable handles. Paint match is a better tell.

So, this eccentric clamp (dinglehopper). I don’t feel good about the rust that is on it. How do you think that happened and how would I remove it.

If you neglect a steel or iron tool, it's going to rust, even in a garage or shop.

This clamp looks like it has mostly surface rust. There might be some slight pitting or discoloration when cleaned up.

I might give it a bath in a rust remover product then clean it up with fine steel wool. Maybe somebody else has a better suggestion.

I love this guy's videos:

It is a hold down clamp typically used on a sliding table saw. Needs a T slot in the table to secure it. How Much?
