What is this called and where can I buy one?

When the moving folks dropped off my workbench as we moved from the old house to the new, somehow one of the nuts? that holds the handle in place was gone.

It’s a silly question but does anyone know where I can get a rounded nut like is on one end of this handle? And do they have a more formal name?

I guess I could fabricoble something to make due, but...

An acorn nut should be readily available and cost less. Grind it a little to make it totally round.

So the ball (broken now) screwed on to the end of that piece and kept the handle from falling out of the vise? Correct?

A cap nut (acorn nut) will work for that.

acorn nut! hole ball knob! thank you! now I know what to look for....

@walnutjerry - not sure why I didn't think of that. I called them- if these other options don't work, I'll bite the bullet and pay the manufacturer for a replacement (which is....expensive...for what it is).

You might also consider turning something and epoxy that to the shaft.
