Thank you Charlie. This is an area of expertise way outside my wheelhouse. But now I know!That is the base/table of a spinning wheel. The two holes to the right hold the uprights for the wheel, the two angled holes are for the front legs, the handle/threaded dowel is for adjusting the drive belt tension and the piece the the threaded dowel fits into holds the bobbin assembly.
