What happened to Bubinga

I needed just a small amount of Bubinga to put hard edges on a waterfall Bubinga veneered table. Much to my surprise, neither The Hardwood Store nor Wall Lumber had any, and did not expect any.
This was one of my favorite woods. I used to see it in huge slabs everywhere. I was told that either there was no demand or supply for it.
Anybody know what happened to this great product ?

Bubinga was CITES restricted back in 2017—2 of the 3 species used were labeled as endangered, with the 3rd being near threatened.

I found some at Kluttz Lumber in Concord a while back and bought some nice boards. I just checked their website and they appear to still have it.
