Just finished this keepsake box for my grandson's seventh birthday. Cherry with African zebrawood accents. Cherry as he is red-headed and zebrawood's crazy grain closely resembles his adventurous spirit and constant crazy ideas. It will be a while before I do another box with box joints - too much fiddling to get things dialed in. Dimensions are 12X9X6.

Working on walnut dining table. Not done but got the top shaped. Both the sides and ends are curved. The ends were fairly easy since the radius is 63”. I made my router into a giant compass after getting close with a jig saw. The sides were a little more work since they were about a 300” radius. I printed the half the table length (36”) curve full scale on 4 sheets of paper and taped them together. Then glued the paper onto a scrap piece of plywood so I could cut the curve on the bandsaw. After smoothing, it was ready to be used as a router template.

Knee surgery Tuesday, if I can get to the hospital at 5:15 am.
I am having the basement crawl space, entered through my shop, sealed and reinsulated in late February . So I need to get everything out of their way. Over the years, that space has become a storage dump of patterns, glue jugs, plywood, dust collector and a lot of dust. It is getting a once in 25 year clean-out, if my knee will hold out.

The crib has been on hold while I made some shelves and stuff for a client. Red oak shelves 5/4 x16" 7'x3'7". Case work is primed plywood and maple. Lift top bench, same with red oak top

Finished up the last of the woodworking on this this evening - started just after Thanksgiving, ha. W/ the snow, I’ll probably use tomorrow to take it all back apart, finish sanding, and start applying finish.

Nearing the end of my second carving in this series, all done in basswood. I managed to get both sides of the arms to match in weight, so they balance and move like a seesaw. Once I finish the face, I’ll be moving on to the next piece.

I am near the end of my gate project and thinking about the next several designs I want to build.
So, I was wondering what everybody else is working on.
Even if you are not ready to show it to the world can you please just give us a hint?

One of the things I have worked on and built several times were shave horses.
Still not happy with any I have, so thinking about ways to improve work holding, comfort for long work hours, portability,
storage, and unique design features.
