Well, hello.

I guess it is about time I made an official entrance into this group. I have posted a few times and an conversed with a couple of the members.

I live in Hickory, wish I could live near Beaufort. Beautiful area and town.

I started carving in 1989. I do "some" turning and some furniture. I enjoy fishing if I can find some place where the fish aren't "poisoned" if you know what I mean. I used to like to go hunting, haven't been in quite a number of years.

I guess the best things I ever created are my children, though some of that does have a drawback. They're eighteen yrs. apart.:crybaby2:

I was hoping at this time in my life I could finally start to live a little. Oh well, can't have everything!:roll:

I really enjoy this group. It's a great deal better than another one that I have been visiting.:icon_thum

Welcome and I am quite sure that you will enjoy reading and learning along with this merry band of North Carolina woodworkers. I would love to see some of your carving work and your antique tools that you mention in your bio!

Children are great, at any age! Sounds like you may even have at least one that is helping you out with the everyday chores!:lol: :lol: (I have 4 beautiful daughters, but I don't think any of them learned how to do laundry or make their own beds!:BangHead: Love them just the same!! )

Welcome aboard (I think. I can't imagine anyone wanting to live near the coast with all the beautiful mountains arouind you. Bet I get some static from that remark). Anyway, it's good to have you around. In fact, when I post some of my pics in a few days of some carving I am doing you may laugh. But that won't be the first time.
