Yesterday I went into Lowes on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville to return a Milescraft router subbase and a few other pieces that I had bought for my DW621 that were going to be more trouble than worth. I decided to go check out Tool World's discount table, who knows what you might find. They had had the Jet JWTS-10JF (708301K) discounted for $499 for the last several weeks. Yesterday there were new developments in Tool World, the floor model was gone!
I asked Silas, the dept. manager what was going on, he had suddenly sold 3 of the available saws that morning! Shock and dismay hit, as he told me that he had discounted the saws that morning to $124.75! He checked his inventory quickly, and informed me that there was ONE more. I had 45 bucks in my pocket, no Lowe's card, and I don't remember the last time LOML let me even touch the bank card! Quick negotiations ensued. I gave Silas my business card, flew back to my office, and discovered that I could not reach my wife. :cry: I bank in Texas (USAA), so I could not make a quick trip to get cash.
