In addition to what Bruce has, I’m storing three that belong to TWA and can be used.Looking for used 1/2 hp. Bench top drill press, will mainly be used for sanding wooden toys for Toys for Tots.

Actually it is the self-holding taper connections that are susceptible to side load problems. Most drill presses have routine Conrad type bearings that are made for side loads such as table saw arbors. The older Jacobs 633C (now 34-33C) chuck with the screw on holder solved that problem at least as far back as the 1950s.Drill presses are not made for sanding. Bearings are not made for side loads and no dust collection.
