At an estate sale recently, I bought a group of 60's and 70's vintage used routers and accessories. Included were:

1. Porter Cable 155 with router base and planer attachment.
2. Porter Cable 155 with router base and finish sander attachment.
3. Rockwell 4600 router.
4. Ram Manufacturing Company router.

My questions are about whether or not these 30-40 year old routers need to have their bearings lubricated or are they permanently sealed? I plan on using the P-C 155 routers as they are terrific lightweight routers with almost 360 deg view of the bit. However, it is only 4 amps so it will be for light duty use only.

Is there anywhere that I can take the routers to have the bearings lubricated or replaced if necessary?

Thanks for any feedback.

Will post pictures when I can find my camera.
