Using the new CNC machine (Axiom AR8) and Vectric VCarve Pro 8.5, I decided to give dive right into a vcarve inlay. Now, at first I didn't know what this terminology meant, but it's really slick. Essentially you use a v-bit to carve the negative and positive, then glue them together and resaw when dry. It provides for sharp corners in the inlay, and a perfect fit. Pretty slick.

Why a bulldog? Well, my family just added a bulldog puppy to the crew so he certainly needed a sign!

Very neat...I did a v-carve inlay of a hummingbird recently for my wife (sorry I don't have a picture)...using V-Carve Pro makes it easy to do some pretty fancy stuff on a CNC.

I just finished the 2 day class at ShopBot (thanks NCWW Auction!!!), spent most of the time on V-Carve (and a little on Aspire which is the souped up V-Carve w/ 3-D editing). V-Carve is a great program, easy to use but very powerful.
